West Sage staff has project management experience on projects including the South Platte Basin Implementation Plan (Prime Contractor for the Environmental and Recreational Consultant Team), water rights and litigation support, basin-wide hydrological studies and a state-wide multi-agency non-consumptive needs mapping project. West Sage staff has managed various water resources projects from small augmentation plans to municipal water supply and water rights portfolios for various clients including the City of Sterling and Gilpin County. West Sage was the prime contractor for the South Platte Basin Implementation Plan Environmental and Recreational team which cooperatively prepared the South Platte Basin Implementation Plan included in Colorado's State Water Plan, which was prepared for several subcommittees, two Basin Roundtables and the Colorado Water Conservation Board. The team consisted of 7 other contractors managed by West Sage, as well as integration with another team of contractors to prepare the final Basin Implementation Plan.
West Sage staff has extensive experience assisting various clients with water supply planning and modeling of water supplies for small governmental organizations, including the City of Sterling and Gilpin County, as well as other entities including Keystone, the USFS, CPW and others. These clients rely upon the expertise of West Sage for long-range planning, drought response planning, and reservoir, water supply and water rights optimization modeling. West Sage assisted clients in determining water supply demands for various uses. West Sage evaluated ways in which water rights and water rights administration affect water supply planning for clients, including water rights’ yield analyses and water system yield forecasting. Clients relied upon West Sage's participation in public meetings and planning meetings regarding water supply planning and modeling, including facilitation with various stakeholder groups.
West Sage staff has experience working with clients to conduct hydrological studies for watersheds ranging from small basin watershed studies to basin-wide hydrological studies, including the Colorado Water Conservation Board, Colorado Water Trust, Colorado Environmental Coalition, and basin roundtables. West Sage staff have provided hydrological studies for clients including state agencies, governmental entities, basin roundtables, small recreational users, and private entities. These clients rely upon West Sage to evaluate hydrological changes in watersheds based on climate change and other disturbance events.
West Sage staff has experience working with clients to assess the historical consumptive use on a ditch-wide and parcel specific basis both to support water rights valuations and water court change case proceedings including Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District, Gilpin County, City of Sterling, and other entities. These clients rely upon West Sage staff's extensive xperience with historical consumptive use analyses, calling water rights analyses, and analyses of lagged return flow obligations from historical consumptive uses.
